Tamara
S. Peters is the President and Owner of Tammy Peters
& Associates, Inc. located in Albany, New York.
The company was founded in 1987 and has served various
not-for-profit organizations as well as corporations.
Ms. Peters has extensive experience in organizational
administration; campaign planning; implementation
of both capital and annual campaigns; special event
development; communications; public relations; feasibility
studies; marketing and advertising campaigns.
Ms.
Peters has 25 years of development experience and
is a tested performer in a full range of fund
raising, public relations and marketing services.
She has directed feasibility studies and capital campaigns;
designed leadership giving programs; annual giving
and membership development campaigns; trained volunteers;
designed communications and marketing programs as
well as advertising campaigns.
Ms.
Peters has developed a unique combination of skills
and talent through her professional and community
service experiences. She has turned around ineffective
development operations by researching, organizing,
developing and implementing new and revised program
components. She has worked under the guidelines of
limited budget constraints and has creatively made
the organizations run effectively and efficiently.
She has a keen sense for recruiting volunteers and
positioning them in appropriate roles. She has designed
and implemented comprehensive marketing campaigns
that have enhanced the overall community image of
many organizations or corporations.
Ms.
Peters volunteer work has been extensive. She served
as the Chairman for the City of Amsterdam, New York's,
Centennial celebration in which Kirk Douglas served
as Honorary Chairman. She has been an active board
member with the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce;
the Montgomery County Chapter of the American Red
Cross and Catholic Family and Community Services.
She has also served as chairman or committee person
for numerous charities over the years. In 1997, Ms.
Peters was instrumental in organizing Amsterdam's
inaugural First Night Celebration.
Ms.
Peters was nominated for the 1998 NYS Governor's Awards
Small Business Person of the Year. Ms. Peters was
presented the 1997 Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce
Thomas B. Constantino Entrepreneurial Excellence Award.
Ms. Peters was the first woman Rotarian in the Rotary
Club of Amsterdam and has been honored with both the
Distinguished Citizen of the Year and Rotarian of
the Year awards. In 1994, she was nominated by the
Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce for the Capital
District Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year Award.
She is a member of the Association of Fundraising
Professionals.
Ms.
Peters holds both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor
of Science degrees in Political Science and Business
Administration from the Massachusetts College of Liberal
Arts, North Adams, Massachusetts. She has attended
numerous workshops and seminars on fund raising, public
relations and marketing. She resides in Clifton Park,
New York. |
